ನಾನು ಹುಬ್ಬಳ್ಳಿಯ ನಂದಾ ಸಿ. ಕೆ. ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಿಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಳಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಭವಿಷ್ಯದ ಗುರಿಗಾಗಿ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಆರ್ಟ್ಸ್ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಕೊಟ್ಟೂರಿನ ಇಂದು ಪಿಯು ಕಾಲೇಜಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದಿಂದ ಬಂದ ನನಗೆ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕಷ್ಟವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಕರು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿರುತ್ಸಾಹಗೊಳಿಸದೆ, ಹಂತ ಹಂತವಾಗಿ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿ, ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು. ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ತಯಾರಿ, ಸ್ಟಡಿ ಸರ್ಕಲ್, ಅಧ್ಯಯನದ ಸಮಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಉತ್ತಮ ವಾತಾವರಣವು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಷ್ಟಪಟ್ಟು ಓದಲು ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಾತ್ಮಕ ಮನೋಭಾವ ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿತು.
